The Janata Vastigruh Shikshan Sanstha, Dhanora Opened Janata Arts, Comerce and Science College in June -2008 to fulfil the needs of Higher Education of the poor and needy students from rural areas of Ashti Taluka, Most of which has been declared as the drought prone area. The Management is very keen and watchful on the all-round development of the college. The teaching and non-teaching persons turn every stone for academic excellence of the college.

We have stepped up in 21st millennium in the era of globalization and computer technology. Our College is trying its best to cater to varied academic, scientific, technological, social economic and cultural needs of the students by providing conductive infrastructure which includes a large building, playground a well a facilitated library, laboratory, well equipped computer department with internet facility, experienced and well trained staff of high academic calibre etc.

Every opportunity is offered to the students for scaling highest by providing various source materials available in our college. We have high expectations from our students that they would nourish, physical, mental, moral and cultural ability and in return would try to glorify the status of the college.

Location and Facilities

Janta Vastigruha Shikshan Sanstha, Dhonora, Tal. Ashti, Dist. Beed Established Janata Arts, Commerce and Science College has it’s own building and is located on Beed-Nagar road, It offers all modern amenities needed for all round development of students personality. The College offers all important facilities such as library, reading room, auditorium, science labs, modern gymkhana, computer lab etc.

Goals

  • The main Goal/aim of the college is to impart entire and quality education from rural area.
  • To organise different extension activities for cultivation of values like national integration, liberty, equality, patriotism, humanism, Scientific temper, democracy, Socialism, peace etc.
  • To organise educational tours to advanced centres of learning science, technologies, historical place, caves, fort , sea-shores, factories etc.
  • To impart higher education to rural students facilitating them to achieve self-reliance and discipline.
  • To help students in attaining overall development through curricular and extra-curricular activities.
  • To Arrange various Extension Programmes to instil democratic and human values among students.
  • Imparting updated knowledge and skill to rural students which may cater their changing social needs to strength them in the process of modernisation.
  • In addition to the regular academic schedule as prescribed by Dr. B.A.M. University and Govt. of Maharashtra, Emphasis in laid on integrated development of creative ability and personality buildings.

General Rules for Admission

  • Admissions to B.A, B.Com. and B.Sc. first year
  • Admission to B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc first year will also be given to students who have passed D.Ed. Examination.
  • The students must retain all the receipts obtained by them towards payment of fees. The receipts must be produced whenever demanded. The refund of fees, deposit and other amounts shall not be made unless the receipts are produced.
  • The prescribed fees and other charges must be paid at the time of admission.
  • Students should apply for admission before the prescribed date.
  • All necessary documents, certificate and undertakings in original should be submitted at the time of admission.
  • Change in division or subject is not allowed.
  • Students should not tamper with any official document or certificate regarding name, caste, income, memorandum of marks.
  • A Student can cancel his/her admission by an application of request in writing within seven days from the date of his/her admission to the course mentioned there in.
  • The Principal has the discretionary powers to make any changes in the rules of admission within the framework of rules and norms laid down by the Govt. of Maharashtra.
  • The students who have passed Diploma in Polytechnic are also eligible for admission to B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. First year.
  • The prospectus along with a prescribed from of application will be available in the college after registration for admission.
  • The Students will have to complete the procedure of admission every year for a new class. The admission will be for one academic year only.
  • If admission is cancelled all frees paid by the students at the time of admission shall be refunded to him/her after deducting specific fees.
  • The subject combination which is offered once, shall remain final.

Class Room Attendance Compulsory :

Government of Maharashtra has issued instructions its resolution dated 22nd July, 1998. These instruction were based on write petition No. 1035/98 Honourable Judges of Mumbai High court were pleased to pass orders that attendance of students in class shall be taken every day.

Attendance
  • It’s mandatory for students to keep minimum of 75% student attendance must be regular for theory and practical classes.
  • A Student who does not fulfil a minimum of 75% student attendance must be regular for theory and practical classes.
  • The Students shall be present in the class room in time
  • Application for leave or absence along with the medical certificate, are to be submitted to the Principal
Discipline and code of Conduct :

  • All Students are expected to observe rules and regulations currently in force to enable the smooth working of the college.
  • No outside influence, Political or any other should be dealt in accordance with the provisions of the Govt. of Maharashtra Act No. XXXI of 1982 and Maharashtra University Act 1994

Government of India Scholarship(GOI) for Backward Class students.

The students belonging to backward class i.e. Scheduled caste(SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Nomadic Tribes(NT) , Be notified VJ are eligible for this scholarship.

Eligibility

The backward class students whose parents annual income of the preceding year is less than Rs. 4500/- are eligible for Government of India Scholarship (GOI) the student applying for the GOI scholarship should submit the following document each in duplicate.

  • Form “A” (prescribed from of application)
  • Caste Certificate (duly attested)
  • Last year Income certificate of parent from appropriate authority
  • A copy of memorandum of marks (duly attested)


Government reimburses tuition, examination and other fees under G.O.I. Scholarship holders receive all kinds of fees and monthly maintenance allowance 75% college attendance is compulsory for all GOI Scholarship holders.
